A little bit about the couple...
Shelby & Ben became good friends during their freshman year at The University of Central Florida. The friendship was a quick one, born by the fact that their dorm buildings were a one minute walk from one another. Shelby liked that Ben was reading the Harry Potter books, and Ben liked that Shelby offered to share her food from her meal plan. With these factors into play, their friendship seemed bound for success.
They continued to form a strong friendship throughout the year, conquering the university during the wee hours of nights. They made it their goal to get on the roof of every building on the campus, and succeeded with a healthy handful of them. They signed up to take classes together and partnered on group projects, including a report for their world religions class on the history of Wicca, which Ben presented barefoot.
After their freshman year, with Ben set on driving to Colorado, it seemed only natural that Shelby volunteer to be his copilot. This was the beginning of a summer that brought them many places, and after so many miles and experiences, the two began to grow close. Now closer than ever before, the two began dating.
Together the two faced a lot. They survived as roommates in their crazy college house, with more people and animals than rooms to fit them. They persevered through their college programs- assisting each other along the way, and they helped each other through many lengthy months of a long distance relationship. Through this all, their love grew and flourished.
Starting as best friends, transitioning into a serious relationship, and surviving that to grow as partners, these two have been inseparable for just shy of 9 years. The decision to get married was natural, and one of the easiest choices either of them have made. They are so excited to have this ceremony, and elated that so many people they love and care for will be with them on their big day.
